A New Format: Business & Human Resource Centre Launches Re-Designed Website

June 12, 2007: Business & Human Rights Resource Centre has launched its re-designed website, making it easier for users to get straight to the information they need on companies’ human rights impacts worldwide: www.business-humanrights.org

The new design makes it easier to:

  • Search for a company and check its human rights record ““ over 3600 companies
  • Stay up-to-date with “News” and “Feature of the week” on our homepage
  • Check how companies are responding to concerns raised about their conduct
  • Explore our archive of news & reports from a wide range of sources on over 160 sectors; 180 countries; 160 issues
  • Access “Special resources”, including all materials by UN Special Representative John Ruggie; a running list of company human rights policies; ICJ panel on corporate complicity
  • Sign up for free Weekly Updates
  • The Resource Centre is an independent non-profit that encourages companies to respect human rights by bringing reports about their conduct ““ positive & negative ““ to a global audience.

    Recent developments:

    We now have 2 regional researchers in addition to our UK & US-based staff: Abiola Okpechi based in Africa, and Roddy Shaw Kwok-wah in East Asia. Funding permitting, we will add researchers in Latin America, South Asia, francophone Africa, Eastern Europe & Middle East.

    Our site now covers over 220 mainland Chinese companies. We regularly add English summaries of Chinese-language reports by Chinese NGOs, companies, journalists and government bodies.

    Over 80 experts are on our International Advisory Network, chaired by Mary Robinson. We have 20 Academic Partners. More about our work
