Bacardi Marks Earth Day With Spotlight on Latest Sustainability Efforts

How do we keep our earth in mind at Bacardi?

We believe the actions we take today can help shape a better tomorrow. This Earth Day we’re proud to spotlight our ongoing efforts to reduce our impact on the environment.

From supporting local wildlife surrounding our distilleries, to investing in new technology, to working with those who grow our natural ingredients, we’re always finding ways to be #GoodSpirited.

1 WE PROVIDE - We created six pollinator gardens at the BACARDI rum distillery in Puerto Rico, providing a year-round food source for butterflies, bats and bees. 2 WE SUPPORT - PATRON is leading the way as the first tequila company to help its agave farmers achieve GLOBAL G.A.P. CfP certification.We employ agronomists who help them implement safer and more sustainable farming methods that benefit both the community and the land. 3 WE INVEST - We support local wildlife and biodiversity around our BOMBAY SAPPHIRE gin distillery and have achieved Wildlife Habitat Council certification in recognition of our efforts. 4 WE INNOVATE - In a trial for ST-GERMAIN elderflower liqueur, we successfully completed the world's first commercial production of a glass spirits bottle fueled by hydrogen - new technology that can reduce the greenhouse gas emissions associated with glass bottle production. 5 WE REDUCE - We redesigned our new contemporary MARTINI 1L bottle to be 30g lighter, reducing its environmental impact.
