– March 17, 2009 – Addison recently provided strategic design services to promote the Ceres 20*20 vision through a print brochure and web site.
The micro site, accessible on the www.ceres.org home page, uses dramatic typography to state current world burdens and then provides clear steps towards change. The site is brought to life with enhanced interactivity such as a scrolling timeline and growing trajectory charts.
The site also illustrates Ceres’ 20 years of success, its growing leverage and its vision to improve the capital markets for a more livable, safe and just future. The vision’s four pillars, with ambitious goals, are to:
- Ensure honest accounting by integrating the full costs of environmental and social factors
- Set new standards and expectations on sustainability disclosure, performance and corporate governance
- Change the rules of the game with policies to encourage a long-term perspective rather than short-term financial performance
- Accelerate green innovation by pushing for energy efficiency, renewable energy, low-carbon products and sustainable supply chains
The complementary, oversize print piece unfolds to reveal a diagrammatic representation of Ceres’ vision, and can be displayed as a poster.
“Addison translated our message into a powerful and memorable design,” said Ceres president, Mindy Lubber. “The interactivity of both designs propels readers from Ceres’ track record to our urgent goals, and effectively makes the case for direct participation and financial support.”
