Case's Weatherhead School of Management Announces the First International On-line conference for Business as Agent of World Benefit

January 14, 2004

The World Inquiry into Business as Agent of World Benefit (B.A.W.B.) is a landmark investigation into the factors and forces behind successful businesses that also care for the societies they touch and for the environment

Businesses and the societies in which they work are interdependent. Successful societies support successful businesses… and truly successful businesses bring many benefits to societies.

Convened by the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University, Business as Agent of World Benefit is a worldwide search for those businesses and leaders at all levels who are experimenting at the cutting edge of business and society. It is a search for:

  • “Pioneers” and surprising new leaders whose expanded vision of business is transforming both business and society,
  • Golden innovations, ways of doing business that optimize both business and society,
  • Partnerships and trans-boundary collaborations that empower both business and society.
  • An Invitation to the First International On-line Conference for B.A.W.B.

“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.” – Margaret Mead
