From emerging STEM leaders to seasoned professionals, our Chemours family is full of innovative thinkers. This Black History Month, we’re celebrating Black employees and scholars who are making ‘Chemhistory’ by shaping a better world through the power of chemistry.

As a lithium-ion battery researcher, Crystal K. Waters’ goal is to understand the chemistries that lead to safe, longer-lasting batteries for energy storage applications. She is one of very few Black female PhDs in this space. Crystal shared advice for future chemistry scholars who will innovate solutions for a more sustainable future.
