Cleargreen Advisors Earns B CORP Certification

April 5, 2012

Cleargreen Advisors (CGA), an advisory firm offering a comprehensive set of sustainability services including strategic planning, employee engagement, education, project execution, measurement and reporting, and outsourced sustainability management, announced today that it has received certification as a B Corporation by B Lab. Certified B Corps are a new type of corporation that meet higher standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability and are dedicated to using the power of business to solve social and environmental problems.

Unlike traditional corporations, Certified B Corps are required to consider the impact of their decisions on their employees, suppliers, community, consumers, and environment. As a Certified B Corp, CGA has met a rigorous set of comprehensive standards for social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability to a broad set of stakeholders. CGA works in a collaborative advisory capacity with its clients and seeks to advocate the B Corp values through project engagements and client relationships.

Cleargreen Advisors was founded by Catherine Greener and Marc Major with the vision of providing support to companies pursuing their sustainability journeys while being driven by the strong sustainable values of its employees. Catherine Greener, CEO, emphasized,  “we believe in a new kind of business that is creating a better future–a sustainable future. B Corp is not only a certification, but a demonstration of a new way of doing business.”
