The Freddie Mac Foundation’s Adoption Expo is a free, family event that will help prospective adoptive parents explore the resources available to help them bring a child into their lives, and enable those who have

already adopted to learn about support systems and services for new families. Showcasing adoption agencies and services in Virginia, Maryland and Washington, D.C., the event offers:

  • More than 30 public and private agencies and service providers

    specializing in Domestic Adoption, International Adoption, Special

    Needs Adoption, Post-Adoption Services, and Foster Care
  • Workshops for prospective adoptive and foster parents, as well

    as new adoptive parents, highlighting the adoption process and

    available support systems
  • Parent-to-parent discussion groups featuring families who will

    share their experiences in adoption and foster care
  • Information about children available for adoption in the

    Washington metropolitan area and beyond
  • Renowned authors and books on adoption
  • Entertainment for children throughout the afternoon.
