Federal-Mogul (NYSE: FMO)

announces that MacArthur Elementary School in Southfield, Michigan, has been

chosen to receive the first public tennis court as part of the company’s new

Tennis Moguls program unveiled at a press conference on June 7.

“We are pleased to construct this year’s court in Southfield, a community

that is both home to Federal-Mogul’s World Headquarters and Big Brothers Big

Sisters of Metro Detroit,” said Dick Snell, chairman and chief executive

officer, Federal-Mogul.

MacArthur, located at 24501 Frederick, serves 478 children and works

closely with Big Brothers Big Sisters to find mentors for its students, as the

school population includes a high number of children from single-family homes.

“We are very excited to receive this gift,” said MacArthur Principal Terri

Patterson. “One of our goals is to partner and work hand-in-hand with the

business community to better serve our children. This program is an excellent

example that by working together, we can make a difference.”

The Tennis Moguls program is a three-year commitment to Big Brothers Big

Sisters of Metro Detroit to provide free summer tennis clinics and more than

1,400 hours of personal lessons to children involved in the Big Brothers Big

Sisters mentoring program. One public tennis court, including perimeter

fencing, for use by community residents in Metro Detroit will be built by

Federal-Mogul each year for the next three years. Detroit metropolitan

schools may nominate themselves for the additional two tennis court donations.
