WILTON, CT – July 31, 2007 – Framework:CR, a leading corporate responsibility and financial communications firm, announced today that it has published its first corporate responsibility report. As one of the first companies of its kind to issue a corporate responsibility report under the 2006 Global Reporting Initiative Sustainability Reporting Guidelines (G3), the report serves as an example to small firms seeking to apply the G3 in their reporting efforts.
The report offers a unique perspective: that of a small consultancy that works mainly with large organizations to communicate their corporate responsibility and financial performance. The report discusses
“This report has given us a better perspective as to how our work fits into the broader context of our clients’ corporate responsibility efforts,” said Kathee Rebernak, chief executive of Framework:CR. “Through this process we have not only better defined our role in helping our clients to achieve greater sustainability; we have also gained a better understanding of the challenges of effective reporting from the client perspective. That knowledge can only help us in helping our clients to meet their objectives.”
The report, available in PDF format at www.frameworkcr.com, has a self-declared G3 application level of “A”. In the coming year, Framework:CR will continue to work to achieve its stated goals to, among others, 1) advance the practice of corporate responsibility communications and facilitate its integration with financial communications, and 2) remain thought leaders in its industry. Framework:CR will produce a web-based update of the report in 2008 and will issue its second full report in July 2009.
