On Tuesday, July 17th, representatives from the REFUEL I “got chocolate milk?” campaign presented injured war veteran U.S. Army Sgt. Robert Laux with a specially adaptive bike in front of the Capitol in Washington, D.C. The donation marked Sgt. Laux becoming the latest recipient of a grant from Operation Rebound, a program launch by the Challenged Athletes Foundation (CAF) that provides funding and equipment to help injured troops and first responders harness the healing power of sport.
The Challenged Athletes Foundation awards grants or equipment to athletes with physical disabilities to help give them the opportunity to participate in sporting activities. As the Foundation’s Official Refuel Beverage, the “got chocolate milk?” campaign supports challenged athletes through fundraising efforts tied to its “Team REFUEL” program as well as refueling athletes at their signature events.
