SAE International Names Director Nominees for 2009 Board of Directors

Executive Nominating Committee has named six mobility engineering

professionals as Director Nominees for SAE’s 2009 Board of Directors.

The Director Nominees are:

— Hal M. Heule, Senior Vice President-Technical Operations, U.S.

Airways;

— Laura E. Hitchcock, Senior Standards Specialist, External Standards

Management, Strategy & Policy, The Boeing Company;

— Andris (Andy) Lacis, Vice President, BTG Systems Inc.;

— Ronald Matthews, Professor, Mechanical Engineering, University of

Texas-Austin;

— Mark Pope, Service & Parts Operation Senior Project Engineer,

General Motors;

— Gregory E. Saunders, Director, Defense Standardization Program

Office, U.S. Department of Defense.

A formal vote on all nominees will be held in November. If elected, the

nominees will begin their terms on the SAE International Board of

Directors in January 2009.
