SRI in the Rockies Speaker Interview with Michael Jantzi

This interview features Michael Jantzi, CEO of Sustainalytics and the founder of Jantzi Research Inc. He has played a crucial role in the development of the responsible investment market through the creation of essential environmental, social, and governance (ESG) research services.

Mr. Jantzi discusses the task of “bridging the gap” between socially responsible investing and mainstream investing with host Joe Sibilia, CEO of CSRwire, touching upon both the progress made over recent years as well as the roadblocks that remain. They go on to discuss topics such as the effects of social metrics on portfolio performance, the best methods for assessing corporate environmental, health and safety risks, as well as the changing landscape of the sell-side sustainable and responsible investing (SRI) space in light of recent consolidations, mergers, and the entrance of new players onto the field.

Michael is scheduled to speak at the 2010 SRI in the Rockies Conference in San Antonio, Texas on November 20th in the session, “Energy: Can’t Live without it. How Do We Live with It as SRI Investors?
