Virtusa supports development of a Community Hall for a Flood Affected Village

Virtusa (India) Pvt. Ltd., a global IT services company that offers a broad spectrum of business consulting and outsourcing services, announced its contribution of Rs 4.50 lakhs for the construction of a community hall for the residents of Kalugotla village in Manavpadu Mandal of Mahbubnagar District. Mahboomnagar was one of the worst affected districts in the devastating floods of 2009. In association with an NGO, Jawaharlal Nehru National Youth Centre (JNNYC), Virtusa is supporting the development of a Community Hall in the village. This will help the village community meet their basic needs, including shelter, grain storage and organizing important community events. Out of the total estimated cost of Rs 6.30 lakhs, Virtusas contribution is Rs. 4.50 lakhs, a press release here said.

Talking about Virtusas support to contribution to the flood relief campaign, Virtusa Vice President and India Center Head Krishna Murthy Yamajala (YKM) said, “At Virtusa, Sustainability is core to values and culture.
