HAMILTON, BERMUDA – In response to the devastating tsunami in Southeast Asia, Bacardi Limited and its subsidiary companies contributed $350,000 to relief efforts. Bacardi is encouraging individual employees to donate as well.

“We are all deeply saddened by the tragedy. This disaster requires help from organizations and individuals from around the world, and to that end we are supporting aid programs in Southeast Asia,” said Ruben Rodriguez, Chairman of Bacardi Limited.

Funds are earmarked for those in greatest need and for long-term projects in the affected region. The donations are being made to the United Nations’ Children Fund (UNICEF), The Red Cross, The Chaipattana Foundation of Thailand and The Prime Minister’s Relief Fund of India.
